YearView - Display a year at a time OVERVIEW YearView displays a year (really half a year) at a time on your PalmPilot. This is a part of my program ThisWeek that I thought might be useful on its own. If you like YearView, please checkout ThisWeek on my website at http://www.reesley.com or at www.palmgear.com. INSTALLATION Follow the standard PalmPilot installation procedure for Yearview: First, unzip YEARVIEW.ZIP somewhere on your PC or Mac. Then from Windows, run the PALMPILOT INSTALL TOOL program which will be in the same group as your PalmPilot Desktop application. When the install dialog comes up, click on the BROWSE button and navigate to the directory where you unzipped the YEARVIEW.PRC file. Select YEARVIEW.PRC by double-clicking it in the FILE OPEN dialog and then click on the INSTALL button. On the next HotSync, the Yearview application will appear in your list of applications. This program only works on PalmOS 3.0 or greater. The program will warn you and exit if you try and run on an older platform. OPERATION Year Screen The Year view screen displays a half year at a time. This view comes up in the current year, with the current month on the screen. There are several ways to move around this view. Use the '<' and '>' to change the year. Use the hardware up and down keys to scroll the months, if you scroll past the end of this year, the year is advanced to the next year. Use the scroll bar to move the display up and down. Note: the first day of the week for the months is either Sunday or Monday, depending on what you have selected in your preferences. You can change this by running the Palm Prefs program -- of course, it will also change for Datebook and any other applications that dispaly calendars and use this preference.
